Marine Protected Area

Turneffe Atoll Trust believes that securing a government sanctioned Marine Protected Area at Turneffe Atoll is a key component of the long-term protection strategy. In June 2010, under the leadership of Turneffe Atoll Trust, the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Council was formed specifically to advance this initiative.
