Land Conservancy

Several highly sensitive areas at Turneffe, including but not limited to those identified by TACAC in 2003, warrant near-term protection independent of regulatory measures and potential Marine Protected Area status. Turneffe Atoll Trust believes that a land conservancy approach could be the best means to ensure protection of these critical areas, and we will pursue this strategy concurrently with other protective measures.
